In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
This treatment involves ovarian stimulation and removal of eggs – which are then fertilized in the laboratory. The embryos are transferred into the uterus.
Intracytoplasic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
Necessary when the male’s sperm count is very low, this procedure involves the injection of a single sperm into an egg for fertilization.
After the initial transfer of embryos into the uterus, remaining good quality embryos may be frozen indefinitely and transferred at a later date.
The outside shell of an embryo is weakened to allow the dividing embryo a greater ability to “hatch” – a process the embryo must undertake before it can implant into the uterus.
Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)
Before an embryo is transferred into the uterus, it can be tested using PGD to rule out a genetic disease.
Egg Donation Program
The Egg Donation Program was developed for women who have poor egg production as a result of age or premature ovarian failure. Treatment with known and anonymous donors is both available.
Surrogacy and Gestational Carrier Services
Patients have access to services when gestational carriers are required.
